  Roadway in Green Municipal Engineering Services

Since 1991, Environmental Design Group, Inc. has provided municipal engineering services to the City of Green, the fastest growing community in Summit County, Ohio and one of the fastest growing in Ohio.

The firm's duties include review and approval of all construction drawings, plats and stormwater management facilities (retention/detention basins within the city), and construction inspection of this work. Environmental Design Group also reviews site plans and plans for residential and commercial development with the city.

In 1994, the firm prepared a comprehensive stormwater study for the city. Massilon Road This study prompted other communities to examine this serious problem and look to the city of Green to provide some valuable information on solving it.

Environmental Design Group has also been responsible for numerous public works projects. This includes planning, design and construction engineering/inspection for: underground fuel storage tank removal; above ground fuel storage tank installation; Roadway in Green Wise Road and Mayfair Road improvements; Boettler Road/Massillon Road traffic signal; Graybill Road culvert improvements; Arlington Road/East Turkeyfoot Lake Road traffic signal improvements; Arlingtion Road/Caston Road traffic signal improvements; Arlington Road paving improvements; thursby Road improvements; Roadway improvements Sandy Knoll Drive paving and drainage improvements; South Main Street paving project; Steese Road/Mayfair paving project; Spade Road culvert replacement; new salt storage facility; new vehicle storage facility;
Boettler Road/Massillon Road paving, drainage and traffic signal improvements; Massillon Road auxiliary lanes; Moore Road paving and drainage improvements; Dickerhoof Ditch drainage improvements; Greensburg Road paving project; East Turkeyfoot Lake Road/Cottage Grove Road traffic signal improvements; South Main Street/East Caston Road traffic signal improvements; Thursby Road improvements; Massillon Road Sanitary Sewer improvements; Mayfair Road/Taber Road traffic signal improvements;

Intersection

Provens Drive culvert replacement; DeWalt Drive culvert replacement; Greensburg Heights storm sewer improvements; and Newcomb Drive sewer improvements. Construction costs for these projects range from $20,000 to $3 million.


Environmental Design Group has assisted the city in preparation of Ohio Department of Transportation Issue 2 funding applications. As part of their municipal engineering services, the firm has also completed master planning, construction documents and provided construction observation for three new city parks ranging in size from three acres to 62 acres.
