Client:Village of Millersburg Location: Millersburg, Ohio Environmental Design Group, Inc. performed consulting services to the Village of Millersburg. One project was establishing a system of control monuments for use in providing a basis for a GIS project. A system of 23 permanent monuments and 30 supplemental benchmarks were set and referenced to the State Plane Coordinate System. All future surveys and design projects were referenced to these monuments to begin building a working GIS. Additionally, all sanitary sewer manholes, water valves, hydrants and miscellaneous utility features were located in reference to the control monuments. The purpose of locating the utility features was to prepare utility maps as a coverage in the GIS. |
