Industrial Park Sanitary Sewers
Environmental Design Group conducted a comprehensive study and prepared a detailed sanitary sewer service plan for Northampton, the fastest growing section of the City of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The study was prepared to evaluate the service area, project ultimate flows, analyze alternatives and recommend phasing of the proposed improvements for this previously unsewered area.
The construction of this project consisted of three phases. The first phase was comprised of approximately 4,000 feet of 10" diameter force main, a 1,200 gallon per minute submersible pump station with standby generator and control building and 5,000 feet of sanitary sewer from 15" diameter to 8" diameter. The second phase was comprised of approximately 2,500 feet of 8" diameter sanitary sewer. The third phase was comprised of approximately 7,000 feet of sanitary sewer from 12" diameter to 8"
diameter.
This project provided sanitary sewer service to two existing residential developments, an existing high school facility and approximately 600 acres of primarily undeveloped land which includes a proposed industrial park. The firm's scope of services included a study, preliminary design, field survey, final detailed design and legal and support services and included construction administration, construction observation and as-built drawings. This project was completed in 1997 at an estimated construction cost of $2 million. |
